Kinshasa: CS Kimbuta finalist students informed about the work of UN agencies
This was part of the activities of the week dedicated to the United Nations. On this occasion, they were made aware of the importance of this celebration for young people.
Children's rights, with a particular emphasis on the fight against harassment and sexual abuse in schools and families, were at the heart of the discussions.
This experience was enriching for many students.
"I understood that when I am assaulted by a teacher, by a colleague, I must not keep the information to myself," explains a finalist of secondary school.
Another, says she has enriched her knowledge about MONUSCO, UNICEF, IOM and the denunciation of abuse and harassment.
Beyond awareness-raising, this day was an opportunity to create a space for dialogue between young people and representatives of the United Nations system. This Thursday, the large UN family is talking with students.
