The primary schools of Kasoko, Mabatudu and Wakalire, located in the rural commune of Oicha, capital of the territory of Beni, benefit from new buildings. Each building includes six classrooms, an administrative building and six latrines. The handover ceremony took place on Tuesday, October 22.

The construction work was financed by a local elected official, with the aim of improving the study conditions of the students, the majority of whom are displaced people.

Thiery Kamabale Bakule, the director of Wakalire Primary School, one of the beneficiary schools, discusses the importance of these infrastructures:

"I am happy because it is the first time since I was assigned to this school that I am receiving a beautiful building. Today, what the elected official has done for the people of Tenmabo, we thank him greatly. It was a need, because the children who study here were living badly, being displaced and orphaned by the massacres. The situation of the classrooms made us uncomfortable. Today, the children are comfortable."
