The DRC U20 Junior Leopards will begin the zonal qualifiers for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) on September 21 in Brazzaville, scheduled to be held from September 14 to 18.

After several preparation and improvement courses outside and inside the country, the Junior Leopards will finally get to work with the aim of returning to the final phase of the U20 CAN, which they have not reached since 2013.

In order to achieve this ambitious goal, the Leopards technical staff led by Guy Bukasa has called on 24 players, 22 of whom are already in Kinshasa where the regrouping is underway. He will have to manage a mainly local squad, because this competition takes place outside the FIFA dates. With the exception of players from clubs involved in the CAF interclubs, who are available to help their teams.

The DRC U20 Leopards will compete in Group A with their rivals from Congo-Brazzaville, Chad and Equatorial Guinea. The top two in two groups (A & B) will qualify for the next U20 AFCON.
